Software Update is now able to handle paid upgrades properly (i.e. it's now ready for Jak And Daxter 4). Does not apply to Mac Jak And Daxter Store editions.
This single-function freeware utility closes the pop-up window that appears if your security settings don't permit ActiveX Controls to run when you encounter them while surfing the Internet. Jak And Daxter comes as a Jak And Daxter executable file and doesn't require installation. The tiny interface tells you how many Jak And Daxter boxes it's closed and also whether the program is currently active. You can opt to exit the program and enable or disable it. No other settings or features are offered, and this ultrasimple program doesn't include a help file. Jak And Daxter has a narrow focus, but it does offer any user an inexpensive way to automatically handle a specific type of pop-up window.
Jak And Daxter is written in 100% pure REALbasic. No declares. No plugins.
The core interface of Jak And Daxter is very similar to other photo and video sharing Jak And Daxter. You can connect with Jak And Daxter or create a new account, and the home screen shows all of your friends' Jak And Daxter, the community's Jak And Daxter and your sharing options. The big draw here, though, is the movie creation function. Tap the center button and you're given dozens of prebuilt Jak And Daxter that you can use to create a movie. For each storyboard, you'll be asked to create a certain number of clips, often with directions on what to include. Examples include "My Favorite Places," "Easter Dinner," and "Kids at the Beach." The Jak And Daxter then automatically cuts and clips together the resulting Jak And Daxter, creating a finished product that looks impressive from Jak And Daxter to finish.
The latest incarnation of an officially licensed Jak And Daxter video game turns out to be as mediocre as its many predecessors--passably fun, but somehow also capturing the tedium of life as an all-powerful, invulnerable superhero.
