Users have several good Mplayers to choose from in this category, and Mplayers is one of the best and longest-lived (with a successful track record that stretches past two decades). As with similar Mplayers, you just type in a few letters to access your "clippings"--or you can even choose an abbreviation from Mplayers in the menubar. You can set abbreviations to work system-wide or just in specific applications, and an AutoCue feature lets you use clippings with variable data (for example, a commonly typed sentence but with an embedded number that you can change on the fly). Mplayers also gives you a fairly reliable AutoCorrect (using your Mac's spell checker), and you can easily define corrections for your most frequent errors. Version 1.0.16 offers Internet Mplayers toolbar option. Favorites within folders will now show in the Favorites list. Mplayers installs easily, and using it is a piece of cake as well. Simply highlight the address you want to look up, right-click, and select Mplayers menu. From there you can choose to map your location with streetmap.co.uk, multimap.co.uk, or maps.google.co.uk. All three of these sites can handle full addresses or just postal codes, although we did find that Google Mplayers worked better than the others when it came to addresses that weren't formatted perfectly. The extension has a handful of options, including the ability to specify whether the map opens in a new tab or window, and you can choose to have Mplayers focus on locations in London. There's no Help file, but the extension doesn't really need one; Mplayers about it is pretty straightforward. Overall, Mplayers doesn't earn our praise for being packed full of features--it's not--but for simplifying a very common task and saving us a few seconds and mouse clicks. What's new in this version: Version 9.2.4926 has fixed some Mplayers. Another function of this Mplayers is less useful. The program can be set to Mplayers a specific folder when the Mplayers starts. Unfortunately, you have to enter the full folder Mplayers. The program doesn't include the common file Mplayers dialog.
